This is it

This is all there is. If you were expecting more, well, there is no more. But I rather like the new design, at least until I change it again.

News

9.20.03 -- Well, I had some time after all, so the new site-design is now live. Here's a link to the blog; if I start updating it all the time, I'll code a link into the main menu. There's still a lot to do, so enjoy what's here and be patient.

9.19.03 -- The site is not live yet, as I write this, but it is ready to go live. Content is still slim, but I will have to update that as I go, anyway. I will probably not post the site to the web this weekend though, so, sometime next week.

Content

Page content has always been a little slim here, mostly because I persistently do other things. Once again, I plan to remedy this a little, and I've started by narrowing my topics quite a bit. I'll have the obligatory page of links, a page about Linux (GNU/Linux, if you prefer) and a page about programming. Neither page is intended, at this point, to be complete documentation or tutorials on how to do anything. They are merely an attempt to somehow justify the existence of this website.

The programming page will have a few short articles to start, and from there, if you want more you can visit the links page or go to Google. Oops, I said `go to'. Maybe I should have said

while (information.here < information.desired) {
	browse(links);
	query(google); }
return 0;
...And that, ladies and gentlemen, will likely not compile in any language.

Browser compatibility

This site is designed using CSS(Cascading Style Sheets). As a result, if you are using Internet Explorer you will some of the nicer touches to the design will not be rendered by your browser. This is because Internet Explorer is not fully compliant with the WC3 specifications for CSS1 (let alone CSS2), even though, AFAIK, they claim to be standards compliant. In other words, IE is something of a dinosaur, and will probably not be fixed until 2005/6, when LongHorn comes out -- and maybe not even then. If you use a Microsoft Operating System and wish to view the latest web design technology in action, you will need to use a browser other than Internet Explorer. Fortunately, this is very easy! In my opinion, Mozilla Firebird, or the latest Mozilla, is the obvious choice. For more information, see my links page, or visit mozilla.org.
